Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-06-07 · version 1.2

1. Who handles your data

PlayOps is software used by indoor children’s play centres to run their day-to-day operations. Your play centre decides what information to collect and why — under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) it is the Data Fiduciary. PlayOps processes that information only on the centre’s instructions, as its Data Processor.

2. What we collect

On behalf of the play centre, PlayOps stores: a child’s first name and approximate age; the parent or guardian’s name and phone number; records of play sessions, memberships, party bookings and payments recorded at the centre; and login details for the centre’s own staff. We do not ask for, or store, government IDs, precise location, or payment-card numbers.

3. Why we collect it

Solely to run the service the centre signed up for: admitting and timing play sessions, billing, memberships and party bookings, and basic safety and contact needs. We do not use this information for advertising.

4. Children’s information

A child’s information is collected only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, obtained by the play centre at the time of admission. Consistent with the DPDP Act, we do not carry out behavioural tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.

5. How long we keep it

Information is retained while you are an active customer of the centre and for a limited period afterwards to meet the centre’s record and financial obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, or erase a child’s information, and to withdraw consent. Please raise the request with your play centre in the first instance; PlayOps will assist the centre in fulfilling it.

7. Grievance redressal

If you have a complaint about how information is handled in PlayOps, write to our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer — PlayOps Support, Synopse Technologies, at privacy@playops.in. We acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

8. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We use a small set of third-party service providers strictly to operate PlayOps. Application data is hosted in India (Mumbai region). The categories of providers we use:
  • Cloud hosting (application and database) — operated from India.
  • Transactional email — for account setup and customer communications.
  • Bot protection — on public-facing forms.
  • Error monitoring — with personal data scrubbed before any record is created.
  • Product analytics — aggregate event tracking on operator actions, with personal data (parent phone numbers, child names, full email addresses) scrubbed before any record is created.

A current list of our subprocessors is available on request to privacy@playops.in.

9. How we protect it

Each centre’s data is isolated at the database layer so one centre cannot read another’s records. Data is encrypted in transit, and personal details (names, phone numbers, amounts) are stripped from our error logs.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated to participating play centres.
